Velwyn is a London-based artist, illustrator, and dancer whose practice moves fluidly across art, design, and fashion.
A graduate of Art Center College of Design (Entertainment Design, Honours, 2012). Her work has been commissioned and featured across Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, The Telegraph, Architectural Digest, and beyond.
Gestural line is the signature of her visual language, expressive, kinetic, shaped by the dance world. Feminine figures appear throughout her work: complex and often caught in a deep state of contemplation. Underlying it all is a practice deeply informed by music, multiple migrations, and a life lived across cultures. These threads surface in her themes, rhythms; a visual language of movement, transition, and hybrid identity.
Based in East London, Velwyn creates art and fashion dolls for collectors worldwide, and continues to immerse herself on the jazz dance floor.
